'Harris Engelbrecht became interested in knife making part-time as a hobby since 1996. During the past 20 years he has developed his own designs of biltong, hunting, pocket knives and daggers. In the past 4 years he started attending shows, including the Huntex and Brooklyn Knife shows. Harris sees his knives as complete objects and designs an entire knife, handle, scales, bolsters, pommel and blade into a fully integrated work of art and applies it to the scale or handle material, particularly when it has strong directional qualities. He executes all his own unique designs and craftsmanship and is always inspired by precision work and fine finish.'
