A member of the Knifemakers' Guild Of Southern Africa since in 2008.

Willem Steenkamp, has been making and selling knives since 2006, and in 2008, he became a member of the South African Knifemakers Guild. Willem creates his own original, functional crafted, folding, flipper and slip joint pocket knives, as well as utility fixed blade knives.

Specializes in materials like Bohler N690, D2, Elmax, Damascus and DamaSteel, while the handle material he uses is usually burl, African hard woods, giraffe bone and synthetic materials, like carbon fibre, G10 and micarta. 'My goal in knife-making is to improve my skills on every knife I make. I endeavour to learn as much as I can from other knifemakers that have the same interests as I have and strive to make the best knife I can with the talent I have received from our Heavenly Father', says Willem.
